all night.

I will never be, I will never be tall, no
And I will never be, never ever be sure of it all
Oh, why is the world so cruel to me
When all, all I ever want to be is anything I'm not

Anything I'm Not ~ Lenka

Can't believe it's the last day of the year already. Ian has already left. Trixie, Wui Yang and Aaron are leaving tomorrow. Jia Lik is leaving on Sunday. And I start college on Monday.

So yeah, one last dinner tonight before the rest leave.

leave it all behind.

I watch youtube a lot. I won't deny it.

Below are some of the top youtubers and my opinion of them.

Fred.
Generally I think he's really annoying. But some people love him. Can't stand the thing he does with his eyes where he looks completely retarded. Basically most people who watch his videos either love or hate him. No in between.

Nigahiga.
Their new videos are pretty good. Old ones not so. They do lots of parodies and stuff.

Smosh.
I think their new videos aren't really good. Could be due to the fact that they're busy with college. Old videos are quite good. Creative.

Kevjumba.
His rants are quite funny. His dad is funny too!! AND he's cute. Haha.

Happyslip.
This woman is MAJORLY talented. Her acting skills are seriously good. You should watch all her videos. I know I have.

Other youtube channels I watch

whatthebuck(His opinions on the latest gossip is amusing at times), sxephil(Not a big fan of him but sometimes he's funny), hooking up(It's a webseries that started out quite bad but got better as episodes went by. Season 2 starting in Jan I think), community channel(She's like the top Australian youtuber. Only watch if nothing better to do.), venetian princess(She's quite talented cause she does everything herself in her videos. Watch and you'll understand), davedays(Obsessed with Miley Cyrus!! But he sings pretty well) and finally JamesatWar(His parodies are good.)

Also as you all know I'm a major Dramione shipper so obviously I watch lots of fan made videos.

Some of the good ones

Arabella18. smokeyfizz. belxf. Sirrah78.

from that ledge.

Wow, it feels like I've been out so much this past week.

Ian's farewell then Wui Yang's and finally Jia Lik's.

Can't believe that everyone's leaving in less then a week.

Jia Lik's farewell was pretty fun. Or rather pretty funny if you were there.

Time seriously passes way too fast. In 2 days time it'll be a new year already. And then Trixie and Jia are leaving. And not coming back for at least half a year.

College starts in exactly one weeks time. And you know what I'm most afraid of? That I've forgotten how to make friends. I mean yeah a lot of people I know are going to Taylor's Hartamas but how many of them will be taking the same subjects as me for A-Levels. Everyone's taking science subjects and there I am taking absolutely none eventhough I've been a science student for 2 years.

So yeah, what if I don't know how to make friends with those people in my class????

How???

Saturday, December 27, 2008

too not over you.

Went to 1U with Trixie and Jessie just now. We watched Yes Man.

It was a pretty okay movie. But it had a bad ending. Could have been better.

Then we went to Wui Yang's for his 'open house'/farewell.

On another note,

Here are a few things that I saw on a group on Facebook which I found pretty funny and true. Not going to post all but here's a link to the group.

You know you've been in Malaysia too long when...

1. You've got a variety of lah, mah, meh, lor etc. in your vocabulary and use them constantly.

5. You forgot why piracy is supposed to be bad when it's apparent how good it is.

8. Your local friends complain they can't get any pork at their university and you fully understand.

13. There are more lanes of cars than there are actual car lanes, and you are one of the people, happily driving in the emergency lane.

25. You find yourself in foreign countries asking for 100+ and are shocked when you can't get it, then experience severe withdrawal symptoms.

30. You have actually seen the mysterious 2RM note.

37. Purple balls hanging from a 5 story christmas tree no longer look unusual.

38. Gardenia tastes "so good, you can even eat it on its own".

39. You say "I'm on my way" and really mean "I'm just getting into the shower." Upon arriving 20 minutes late, you blame it on the traffic.

Those are some of my favourite ones.

burning candle.

Sheesh. I hate it when people take offence at the slightest thing.

All I said was that it would be better for me to follow the transport instead of you taking me there considering you don't even know where the freaking place is.

P.S There are only two people that I would get pissed off at. So it's obvious who I'm talking about.

24 hours.

You know how wearing a ring on your fourth finger of your left hand means your married?

Well if you wear a ring on the fourth finger of your right hand it means you'd prefer not to marry.

Bet you didn't know that did you.

So what rings on other fingers?

Here is what it means:

Thumb: Single and not looking.

Pointer: Single and looking.

Middle: Engaged/In a relationship and not looking.

Fourth: Married.
Pinky: Open relationship/Divorced.

These all apply for the left hand only. Don't know bout the right hand.

Went for a Christmas party last night at Amanda's new house. Not Amanda Ooi, Amanda Chua. My neighbour when I was living in Hartamas. Li Khim came too. Nice to catch up with them. We all haven't really changed much.

can't give up.

Just got back from Ipoh.

It seems to me that I spend less and less time there every year for Christmas. I used to go back once school holidays started and only go back after Christamas. Then as years went on I'd go there a week before Christmas. But now, go on Christmas Eve and then come home on Christmas morning.

Every year my grandmother will set up the Christmas tree and I used to help her decorate it. But now she doesn't want to do it anymore cause obviously she's getting old. Then my uncle said that she'd stop putting up the Christmas tree when I get taller than it.

HAHA. I told him that she'd have to put it up forever then. Seeing as I don't think I'm going to grow much more.

Anyway,

for Mamma Mia. It was good but I thought the movie was better.

I mean, how can you beat the movie when they have Meryl Streep AND Pierce Brosnan in it??? But the guy who played Sky in the musical was better looking. Also, the guy who played Harry Bright looked VERY similar to Colin Firth who plays Harry in the movie.

Overall it was pretty good but the only thing that spoilt the night was that it was at Istana Budaya. Like seriously, the parking there is HORRIBLE!!!! We had to park so far and walk to the place. The place is supposed to be a cultural centre but they have horrible planning. Don't they ever think of the women who'd be all dressed up and in heels?? They don't even have a valet service. So if you're planning to go to Istana Budaya for a show and need to park, DO NOT wear heels.

the show.

Just when I thought I was done with BM I have to endure more of it.

Why??

Well, it's to get my licence.

I've finally registered at a driving school. Yew's Driving School. Recommended by Kimberly who got to know of it from Cedric. So yeah, going for the 5 hour Undang class thing on Sunday.

After that my dad dropped my off at Mid Valley for a 6M reunion. After 5 years of leaving Kuen Cheng we still have reunions. About 20 of us showed up with only 5 guys. Weird right? I mean, out of 40+ people at least 20 were guys but only 5 of them showed up for the reunion. It was fun. After all these years I'm going to see some of them next year cause we're going to the same college. Most of them haven't changed much physically wise.

Girls only.

I probaby should have taken more pictures. But lazy la.

Two teachers came! Chen lao shi and Huang lao shi. Standard 4/5 and 3 homeroom respectively. Chen lao shi even invited all of us to her house for CNY.

Nice to catch up with everyone. Hope this tradition continues on.

maybe it's just me.

I like Demi Lovato's new song + music video.

It's called Lala land.

Lala Land by Demi Lovato

And you know what??

Robert Pattinson cut his hair!!!

Shocking I know. But maybe he was getting tired of his greasy hair that looked like it exploded.

Only pic is from Perez Hilton so go there to get a look at his new hair.

strange and beautiful.

So yesterday Trixie, Melissa, Pui Yi, Aleena, Hooi Shan, Jia Lik and Amanda came over.

The barbeque was pretty entertaining.

Word of advice:

NEVER make Melissa angry. Or she'll totally whack you on the head. HARD.

Haha. You see we had prawns. And they were very much alive that when we put them on the barbeque they jumped right off. So how did we kill them??

Melissa whacked them on the head.

Then everyone except Aleena and Hooi Shan slept over.

As usual we all only slept at 4-ish. Lots of retardedness.

4 new videos on youtube for me to watch. All uploaded on the 19. See my birthday so special.

Such a youtube addict.

bit by bit.

A Christmas Cantata

Date: 20th & 21st December 2008

Time: 8.30p.m.

Venue: Trinity Methodist Church Petaling Jaya

Be there!!!

I'm going on Sunday night.

Times passes way too fast. To think that I'll be 'old' tomorrow.

Okay, not really old. But seriously, turning 17 makes me feel way old.

loose ends.

Another exam to add on to the list of exams I'm taking next year.

Grade 8 ballet.

Usually people would have more time after SPM ends but I find that I have less time.

Sigh.

Anyway, to occupy my time I've been organising my album covers in iTunes.

So that means for all my songs I label it correctly and find the right cover to use. It's quite tiresome but I don't really like seeing empty covers on my iPod.

So yeah, I'm up to the letter 'K'. On artists.

Halfway done!!

green apple lollipop.

Beyoncé has the song called 'If I Were A Boy' right?

Well here's a version someone else did.

It's called 'If You Were A Boy'. Basically the same song from a male perspective.

If You Were A Boy by Shawn Stockman.

Lyrics are as follows:

If you were a boy you`d understand
How it feels when she says your best ain`t good enough
And you know you are doing all that you can

You`d go to the bar, drink a few shots of patron
Just so you can deal with a woman
That makes you feel unwanted in your own home

If you were a boy you would finally see
How it`s so frustrating when your woman
Tries to change a man she knew you would be
You listen to her but wonder “does she listen to me”
Maybe then you`d understand being a man
Is much harder than you believe

If you were a boy you will notice right away
You could be so unkind if i change my mind
So unforgiving when i make a mistake (yes you do)
Then you found you have to laugh when the coins flip on it`s back
She looks in your eyes with selfish pride and says
“I am a girl and I am allowed to do that” (aint that some shit)

If you were a boy you would finally see
How it`s so frustrating when your woman
Tries to change a man she know you would be
You listen to her but wonder “does she listen to me”
That`s for sure, the girl you live with aint always as sweet as she believes

I am the one who is there for you when you are emotionally weak
Only when you are the strongest when the world is allowed to see
I see all the imperfections, i see all the flaws when that make up comes off

If you were a boy, you'd understand

million times.

Went out again today.

With the Galileo people. Trixie, Pui Yi, Nabil, Jun Lin, Chien Wen, Malcolm, Jien Yoong and Richard.

Watched 'The Day The Earth Stood Still'. I quite liked the movie but it fell below expectations. It was way too short. Only 1.5 hours. And in no part of the movie did it show the earth 'staying still' so I don't get the title.

And basically the MORAL of the story is:

Save the earth!!!

Or the aliens will come and get you.

An incident happened that involved falling and blood dripping. But the said person doesn't want the story getting out so you'll just have to figure out who I'm refering to.

ice ice.

Yesterday was an interesting day.

Got my first iPod. Present from my aunty. 8GB Blue iPod Nano.

Drove for the first time.

And I didn't crash!!!

I almost did but my dad steered me away. And I've got to say, it scares the hell out of me. The not knowing how much to turn my steering wheel. I drove so slowly and everytime I braked it was akward. But after the 5th round I got better.

Went out today with the 'original crew' to quote Trixie. Haha. *It means Pui Yi, Melissa, Trixie, Hooi Shan and me* Andrew joined us for the movie though. We watched Bolt in 3D. The movie was not bad. Bolt was SO CUTE!!! I like Mittens too.

On another note,

Why did I agree to so many exams next year?? Now I have to do G7 theory and practice for G8 piano and G4 violin. (Yes I know my violin very low but it's my first exam!).

nothing but.

Something strange happened a few days ago.

The church I attend got ROBBED.

Yes you read it right. Three guys came and stole from the church.
Of all the places to rob they rob a church.

Information from the church bulletin:

On Tuesday 9th December 2008, our church office staff, Keat and Mas, experienced a traumatic experience of being robbed by three individuals armed with knives. Praise God they were only bruised. However, as a consequence, all the cash and cheques collected on the day of the Food and Fun Fair as well as the Sunday collection of offerings and pledges were taken by the robbers.

I have heard about a couple more details but not sure whether it's reliable information or not. So you'll have to make do with the 'official' statement. Haha. So police-ish.

BTW, my church is Trinity Methodist Church, Petaling Jaya.

dead or alive.

Okay, supposedly Taylor Lautner is going to be replaced with Michael Copon.

He played someone in OTH and was Blue Ranger in Power Rangers when he was younger.

However I know him from Bring It On 4.

Michael Copon. Pretty cute right?

I don't mind actually. Cause they'll be replacing

this,

with
this.

At least he's older. 10 years older than Taylor Lautner to be exact.

on one hand.

While clearing out my cupboards I stumbled across a book. Not a storybook mind you but a notebook filled with information. And let me tell you that while I was re-reading it I laughed so much!! Won't tell you what's in it but I will tell you why there was such a book.

You see, the book has information about me when I was in Form 1. Trixie should know what it is. And Pui Yi too but she doesn't read this blog. And by information I mean likes, dislikes and favourites. For all this info was sort of 'collected' for the eyes of someone.

Let's go back to Form 1. Btw, I'm way over this so I'm fine with everyone knowing the choices I made in Form 1 and why I made them. Haha, sounds so serious.

Well, when I was in Form 1 there were two guys. Okay, I'm not going to tell you who but if you knew me then it should be pretty obvious who I'm talking about. So guy A and guy B liked me back then. The 'collected' info was for guy A. He talked to my friends and made them ask me questions bout myself which they then proceeded to record in said book. Obviously that meant that my friends were in support of guy A. Meanwhile guy B did nothing.

Blah, blah, blah more boring details bout how guy A attempts to talk to me online and through SMS. Yet again, guy B does nothing.

When the time came for me to choose I obviously chose guy A right? But you know what? I actually liked guy B. Yes I admit it. I liked guy B better but chose guy A just because I could talk to guy A and guy B was a chicken to quote from the book.

5 years down the road. I don't talk to guy A much anymore and guy B hasn't changed. Of course the only difference is that now all my friends support guy B. But I don't like him anymore.

I'll let you in on a little secret. If guy B had asked me, I would have said yes. *This refers to if he had asked me a question this year. *

And I'm only posting it now because everything is over. And noone is allowed to make any references to this incident anymore. I can go on to college in peace!!

Also, it's after prom already.

did i call you?

Update on Twilight.

As most of you know, Catherine Hardwicke the director of Twilight will not be working on the New Moon. This is because she wants more time to plan the movie out so that it will be better for everyone. But the people at Summit want to release the movie as soon as possible so that they can make as much money as possible before the recession really kicks in. Okay, that may not be the case but it's more likely than anything.

The director for New Moon has been chosen already.

Chris Weitz. He's the director of the Golden Compass.

I hope he makes the movie better. Seeing as I didn't really enjoy that movie I don't really know what to expect for New Moon. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait till next year to see.

New Moon is scheduled to be released in either late 2009 or early 2010. *Some places say that New Moon will be released on November 20. But I don't know how trustable these sources are.*

On another note,

Taylor Lautner might not play Jacob Black anymore.

This is because the people at Summit think he looks too young to play a love interest opposite Kristen Stewart. Which is true considering Taylor is only a year younger than me. 16 with such a drool worthy body and they don't want him. How sad.

I don't really mind as I do agree he is too young. As long as the actor they pick is good looking enough with a hot body. If I have to sit through a 2 hour movie that has a lot of Jacob I might as well have some eye candy to look at.

Thursday, December 11, 2008

turn it up.

A couple of moths ago I blogged about how Centre Stage 2 was coming out in November and how I thought the storyline sounded pretty cliched.

Well I just watched the movie last night and I must say I liked it very much.

Instead of the usual storyline where the girl is a ballerina who falls in love with a hip hop dancer, this movie has the guy being the ballet dancer and the girl who doesn't get into ABA(American Ballet Academy). Pretty good movie with some awesome dance scenes.

I liked the chemistry between the two leads. Rachele Brooke Smith and Kenny Wormald.

Rachele Brooke Smith.
(She's WAY talented dancing wise. She can do Ballet, Disco, Hip Hop, Tap, Line, Tango, Modern, Salsa, Break, Ballroom, Club/Freestyle, Swing AND she has green eyes.)

Kenny Wormald.
(He's actually a hip hop dancer so you gotta give him props for acting as a ballet dancer here.)

you have stolen my heart.

Brief recap of prom.

Night started out with all of us having to move from our seats because somebody messed up the seating chart and didn't bother to check before ushering everyone to their seats. Not a good note mind you.

Luckily the first act of the night was good enough. What was the first act? Well, I'd tell you that from far in the dark it looked like a few VERY HOT WOMEN dancing in obscene clothes to Pussycat Dolls songs. Upon a closer look it's more like WOMEN without the WO. Haha. Transvestites!!!!! They were quote good and they even went up to some of the boys and danced up against them during the song. Scarred for life I tell you. And the thing is, some people only found out they were guys after the emcees announced it later in the night.

Other acts of the night were 3 bands and 2 dances. Not bad as far as I'm concerned but nothing to shout about. The mentalist wasn't that great either.

Awards given out that night:

Best Dressed Male:
Kenneth. (Only guy in a white suit. Paired with the green tie he reminded everyone of either a leprechaun or The Joker.)

Best Dressed Female:
Shu-Hui. (Her dress was so short!!! But she had the legs to pull it off.)

Best Couple:
Aleena & Greg. (Not much to say here.)

Prom King:
Greg. (Guess who's prom queen?)

Prom Queen:
Aleena. (Proving why they deserved the best couple award.)

Pictures up as soon as I'm done with Photoshop.

step one.

I have highlights!!

Red ones.

But not like Trixie's. Mine's more subtle.

It's there. You just can't see it.

Pretty obvious from the top though.

Nice right?

Prom is in one day's time.

Sunday, December 07, 2008

hello trouble.

So after church went out with Jia Lik, Pui Yi and Trixie to Mid Valley.

To go accessory shopping. Managed to get the stuff that we wanted.

Watched a movie after that.

Pretty good movie. As usual we were the only people who laughed so much. Sometimes I wonder whether being from KDU has made us develope a different sense of humour.

Another thing that made the movie so well worth the watch.

Alex Pettyfer!!!!

Hot!

Don't you dare deny it.

someone to love.

The Haunted House today went as well as could be expected.

All those involved.

Managed to raise around RM700.

And look what I got!!!

Cute no? It's a hand painted rock.

Just guess how much a I paid for it. Leave your guesses in the comments if you want.

be your standing ground.

I was so totally going to upload pictures today but instead I was busy.

Busy doing what you may ask?

Preparing a haunted house.

For my church's food and funfair. It's sort of an event in conjunction with TMC PJ's 50th Anniversary next year. All proceeds will be donated to charity.

So yeah, the haunted house is going to be really awesome. I hope.

I feel like I have absolutely no time to just lay back and do nothing this week. Will be busy with the food and funfair tomorrow. Then on Sunday going out with the others to go accessory shopping. Monday will most likely be spent clearing out all my school stuff and the prom's on Tuesday.

How time flies!!

it's you.

Back from Hong Kong last night at 12 midnight. By the time I got back it was 1.30a.m.

No updates today as I have to upload the pictures.

So stay tuned for my post on Macau & Hong Kong.

P.S. Shopping there wasn't so great.

P.P.S New header!! Will change it at least once a month I think.

Saturday, November 29, 2008

you're my disease.

Nothing eventful today. Spent most of the time catching up on lost sleep and playing games online.

And guess what!!!

My braces are coming off soon. Like in a week's time. Tuesday morning. Just cause I wanna be braces-less for prom. I mean, I don't to be remembered with my braces on.

No updates for the next couple of days. Going to Macau and Hong Kong with the family tomorrow. Only getting back on Thursay night. Hence why I'm not going for the class trip at Genting. Which I so wanted to!!!! Oh well.....

As compensation I'm going shopping in Hong Kong!!

Friday, November 28, 2008

i can be the one.

I'm so freaking tired now. So excuse me if this post is bad.
But I wanna blog about today before I forget stuff.

So Jia Lik and Amanda stayed over last night as we were going to Bangsar today to go dress shopping. Mum dropped us off at Trixie's and her mum in turn dropped us at Bangsar. Had breakfast at Bodega and walked around Bangsar Village II as most of the boutiques don't open till 12. Didn't really find anything as most were too pricey and we wouldn't be able to buy anything without our mothers.

After Aleena met up with us we walked. A lot. To so many boutiques that I cannot remember them in order or even remember how many we walked into. And I tell you that after walking into so many it was difficult to find a prom worthy dress. In the end everyone got a dress save for Trixie. But she did get a dress at Plaza Damas when she went there with her mum. I swear, I've never tried on so many dresses in my life. I never really expected to buy a dress today seeing as I'm going to Hong Kong so was planning to get a dress there. But the dress that the rest asked me to try was pretty nice and cheap and long. Despite it being long, I didn't look like a midget. I do think I'll have to alter it cause I don't wanna wear really high heels. But I still think I'll go dress hunting in HK just in case I don't wanna wear the one I have.

Trixie has highlights now!!! Red ones. Looks nice on her.

Anyway, after that went with sisters and mum to 1U as Roxy had a 50% off ALL items from 5p.m. till 10p.m. For members only. There were so many people there. And the thing is that the line was really long at the cashier. So guess what? I had to stand there for an hour to pay for the stuff cause sisters had class so mum had to leave to send them. The thing is that I didn't even buy a single thing from there yet I had to waste an hour on my feet for the stuff that the others were getting. The sacrifices I make.....haha.

I was actually going to type a much longer post. But I'm so tired I'm going to sleep now.

Thursday, November 27, 2008

lead her up the stairwell.

overoveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroveroverover.

SPM is OVER!!!!!!

Haha. Except for those taking Accounts and Econs that is.

Went to watch Twilight today with Trixie, Jia Lik and Amanda at Platinum Suites at Cineleisure.

The seats were like SO comfy. You could recline it back so much.

And as for Twilight,

I can tell you that it was as expected. That the movie wasn't great seeing as almost no movie made based on a book is good. But it was funny!!

As usual, the four of us were the noisiest there. We laughed at so many things.

Everytime Robert Pattinson looked at the screen his eyes were HUGE. Perfect match for Jia.
Jessica's description of Jasper was funny. 'The one who looks like he's always in pain is Jasper.' Which was quite true. He truly looked constipated throughout the movie. When Edward stepped into the light to show that he 'dazzled', his shirt was open right. And I can say that Robert Pattinson has NO hot body. It was such a disappointment as Edward in the book is supposed o have a really hot body with packs. Jacob's hair was weird too.

Oh, and Carlisle was probably the only one who looked hot enough to be a vampire.

left for you and me.

This morning while I was having breakfast, my grandparents were discussing their medicine. And let me tell you, it was one of the weirdest conversations ever. They were like comparing which medicine was better, whether it's cheaper to get it from a doctor or from the pharmacy.

So this got me thinking, that at some points of our lives, the topics that we talk about change with age. While you may thinking OBVIOUSLY, what a 6 year old and a 16 year old talk about are completely different. What I mean is that there is this invisible line in our head that seperates what we think about at different stages.

For example:

0-7 years: Make lots of noise that make absolutely no sense to anyone. Yell about how interesting the most mundane things are. Basically act like you've lived a rock under your entire life and be fascinated by anything.

7-12 years: Talk about school. And how you hate this or that teacher. Discuss how much you hate this boy/girl who always teases you. Oh, also talk about childish games and computer games.

13-14 years: Eveything that you say must be filled with angst. The world hates you, you hate the world blah blah blah.

15-18 years: Talk about the guy/girl you like. Swoon over hot celebrities you wished you knew. Discuss how unfair you parents are as they never let you out/never let you drink/never let you do anything. Basically a toned down version of how you were from 13-14.

19-25 years: Uni life. Enjoy freedom from parents by talking with friends about where to party and what next to spend money one like holidays and unnecessary gadgets.

26-30 years: Complain about how you'll never find someone to marry. When finally married gush about how married is everything you dreamed.

31-40 years: Talk about how to take care of kids. Compare salary/house/car.

41-49 years: Tell people about how your spouse annoys the hell out of you. How your kids are driving you up the wall. Discuss politics and economics.

49-55 years: Talk about how your job is so stressful and you can't wait for retirement. Discuss how much your kid's uni is costing with other friends.

56-60 years: From now on it's all about how well your kids are doing. Brag about your kids and their wonderful career.

61-80 years: Like my grandparents, discuss health care. Latest pills, vitamins and whatever else there is to discuss about how to live longer.

81 years onwards: The past and nothing but the past.

Just my opinion. Feel free to leave you opinions on the tagbox.

Tuesday, November 25, 2008

romeo take me.

It feels strange to know that after today I'll never have to know

what oxidation and reduction are
what disulphermonochloride in methy benzene solution is for
what the thyroid gland does
what FSH, oestrogen, LH and progestron are
what the hell Boyle's Law, Charles' Law and Pressure Law are
what is the difference for resistance of LDR in bright and dark conditions

That's the end of the need for science knowledge.
2 years worth of studying for one exam and it finished so fast.

Whole different ball game next year.

Only Literature and EST left!!!!

Was talking about cartoons that we used to watch when we were younger.

We=Jia Lik, Amanda, Adelyne, Ian and Me

Some of my favourite ones.
AAAHH!! Real Monsters.

Little Lulu.

Hey! Arnold. (Hey! Football head!! Haha)

Mummies Alive.

Where in the world is Carmen Sandiago?
(Didn't watch this one very much but I loved the computer games!!! My favourite villain when I was younger.)

And then there were the game shows on Nicklelodeon.

Figure it out.

Legends of the hidden temple. (My fav team were the Silver Snakes)
I remeber I was quite scared of the tree part where you put your hand in to look for something and if you're unlucky, a temple guard would be the tree and grab you. And there was the shrine of the silver monkey. Some teams were quite dumb and couldn't put the monkey back together.

Double dare.
Love the sundae part.

And then there were the cartoons I didn't like.

Ren & Stimpy, Catdog(where does their s*** go??), Rocko's modern life, Cow & Chicken(though I did like 'I Am Weasel'), Rugrats.

They just don't make cartoons like they used to.

P.S The teams for Legends of the hidden temple are Red Jaguars, Blue Barracudas, Green Monkeys, Orange Iguanas, Purple Parrots and Silver Snakes.
Just in case you couldn't remember.

with a ribbon on it.

*EDIT*

Summit Entertainment has just given the green light for New Moon!!!
So obviously we'll get Eclipse and Breaking Dawn too.
Twilight made $7 million in midnight sceenings alone in the US.

As all Malaysian Twilighters should know the movie is just a few days away.

27 November 2008.

But yet there's almost no advertisment about it. Have you seen any billboards? No right. But for other movies there seem to be signs/posters talking about it everywhere. It's as if Malaysian theatres don't think Twilight is important or big enough for them to waste money on.

How wrong they are. So many people I know love the book and can't wait for the movie to come out even though we all know it won't be as awesome as the book considering Edward climbs trees and moves around like a monkey in the movie.

There's even a website set up for all Malaysian Twilighters. It's mainly updated with new pictures or news or videos concerning Twilight but it does give you news of any Twilight related things that are happening in Malaysia.

Check it out *HERE*

P.S Tickets are not on sale yet. I think they go on sale tomorrow.

i'm not a princess.

To help all of those going to sit for Bio on Monday.

Parts of the brain. According to Pinky & the Brain!!

Bones in the body. From the Animaniacs.

Haha. I used to love watching these shows.
Too bad the standard of cartoons nowadays are dropping.

Cartoons last time thought us the parts of the brain and about all the bones in the body.

What do cartoons nowadays teach?

A post on all my favourite cartoons from the past sometime after SPM.

mendel.

Some time back J.K.Rowling was attempting to sue this film company from India as they were making a movie title Harvey Putter and the Ridiculous Premise. Well she didn't win the case as it was too late seeing as the film company had been planning to make the movie since 2004 and J.K.Rowling's people knew about it but didn't do anything till this year.

Which is a good thing I suppose. I've just watched the trailer to Harvey Putter and I must say it seems like it's going to be a SUPER funny movie. The movie's basically a spoof of Harry Potter.

The description:

Celebrity bad boy teen wizard Harvey Putter discovers through his headmaster at Snogwarts School of Witchcrap, Professor Mumblemore, that they are all merely fictitious characters in a best-selling childrens book. Harvey and his best friends—poor witch trash kid Rod Cheesely and the brainy Hernia Grunger--are tasked with collecting seven magical books known as Hortexts in order to escape the book world before the final chapter.

However, the mysterious and evil Lord Moldymort also wants to escape and throws a series of obstacles in our heroes path, including such dark creatures as the large-toothed, foul-breathed Dedentures, brief-sporting Underwerewolves, and the nauseating contents of the Lunchbox of Secrets. In the end, they must face off against the greatest terror of all: their creator, author K.J. Bowling! Memorable moments from all seven Potter books are crammed into this 100 minute, highly irreverent satire.

And the video here

Have fun.

Can't wait till Bio paper is over!

up and away.

For those of you who haven't seen.

Here are a couple of pictures of the prom ticket. It's more of an invitation card though.

The front.

Which opens up to reveal prom details.

What the back looks like.

Closer look at the details.

So seeing as I have a ticket. It's quite obvious that Sri KDU is having a senior prom despite what some people might say. Get your tickets quick as I've heard that many people have already bought their tickets. Yeah, and it's RM180 now cause early bird is over.

Expensive I know. But I think it'll all be worth it. Hopefully.

pull me down.

I read this story a while back and one of the characters made a very interesting point.

“If the first thing you can say about the guy is the fact that he’s ‘just a friend’,” he said, making quotation marks with his fingers, “it means that you think of him as anything but.”

I don't know how far this truth extends but in my opinion it's pretty true.

Now that I think back on what I have said I do think that I tend to say "he's just a friend" whenever someone asks me about someone I like. For those I don't it's usually "Just a guy from school/church/where ever I met him."

But don't start thinking about what I've told you about some guy you asked me about.
I might really have just thought of him as a friend. So don't read too much into this post. It's just that this little bit from the story has a bit of truth in it. In my opinion of course. Not sure how much applies to other girls out there.

And do guys think the same way?

If you've read Jia Lik's blog about the notes from a stalker on the door. This is from the same story.

You can read it here Sharp Edges and Shadows.

they said love was complicated.

Another rant. They're so fun!! I think I'll do them more often.

Okay, so the roads in Tropicana have been resurfaced this past week. And while it's good and everything as smoother roads ensure smoother drives, there's something that they do that just does NOT make sense to me.

You see, the thing is that when the resurface the road they basically just put on another layer of tar to smoothen out the road. So that means each time they resurface the road, their adding another inch. Obviously that means the roads become thicker or rather higher each time they do it. As we all know, there are manholes on the road here in Malaysia that have to be so conveniently located smack in the middle of the road.

When they put tar on the road they can't put tar on top on the manhole right? So you know what that means?? That each time they resurface the road, the manholes become deeper and deeper. Which also means that the bump is REALLY big if you don't avoid driving over the manhole.

What's the point of resurfacing the road then? While it may have lessened the number of port holes, the manholes have just become deeper.

So yeah, why can't they find a way to not make the roads higher? I mean, they could always remove the old tar then only put the new tar on right? But I guess it would be too troublesome and it'd cost more. And we all know that money is far more important than a safe smooth drive in the neighbourhood.

As a side note. Chem paper was strange today.

1,1,1 trichloroethane.

Nigahiga not No. 2 anymore??

They're not even there on the most subscribed list. What happened?

If you're clueless to what I'm talking about. It must mean you don't watch youtube.

I'll update tomorrow on my opinion of some of the most subscribed to youtubers. Cause it's late now and I don't wanna fall asleep during the Chem paper.

See!!!

that i can't explain.

Just a little rant that's been sitting in my drafts. Finally finished it this morning.

As all those who've sat or are sitting for SPM should know, Moral is hands down the most pointless subject we've ever been required to study.

All you have to do to get an A is memorise the 26 nilais. Word for word. Any mistake will result in no marks given. Which in turn will not give you an A on your SPM cert. Like seriously. Just memorise the kata kunci and you're good to go. As me and my friends have often joked, Moral does not test whether you bermoral or not. It test your skills in lying and writing about stuff you wouldn't do in real life.

The Ministry of Education has often said that learning Moral will instill good values into the students. How? I only see a subject that exercises the memory and crapping skills of a student. For all you know, the student who scores well for Moral could be the student that doesn't do their work, is spoiled and rude. But people seeing that he/she got an A for Moral in SPM would be "Oh. he/she got an A so that must mean that he/she is actually very nice and polite.". The only part of Moral I can see that actually could hep the students is the part where we do Kerja Amal.

While I'm sure there are many out there who 'fake' their Kerja Amal by posing for pictures, there are also those who really did go out and do some charity. In my class I know that most of them went to orphanages to help kids out, went to Zoo Negara. Me and my friends went to SPCA where we peeled chicken to mix with rice as dog food.

Another thing that bothers me is that Moral is a compulsory subject for non-Muslims. While Agama Islam is compulsory for Muslim students. Meanwhile Bible Knowledge is counted as an exrta subject. Why can't students be given the choice to either take BK instead of Moral? The Christians should be given the choice to take either. And the Hindus and Buddhists and all the other religions should be given their own subject. Taking an extra subject just means extra work so why can't other religious studies be counted as a core subject? Of course all the atheists and free thinkers would still take Moral but those who have a religion should be given the choice to take their own religious study.

Okay, rant's over. Sorry if it's a little long. And I think I've spelled the word 'choice' wrong so many times while typing this post. For some reason my fingers keep spelling it as 'choise'. Weird.

you don't define me.

faster than ever before.

Not much to blog about.

Only that Add Maths 2 was harder than expected. And I think I'm going to fail.

And with Moral being over. I'll never have to write in BM ever again!!!

Chem's on Thursday. Then everything else's next week. Pretty well spread out. My subjects.

Also,

if you wanna play a game.

WARNING: This game is supposed to be majorly scary. Don't play alone in the dark with your speakers turned on full blast(which is how they tell you to play it). And you can only play the game from 6p.m. to 6a.m. So if you wanna play it in the morning/afternoon please adjust your computer's clock. It's given that time limit cause apparently that's the time when it's dark so they want to enhance the playing experience.

even if saving you.

Britney Spears' new album is coming out in 3 weeks. But as with most albums, songs have already been leaked.

And according the Perez Hilton, the only song worth listening to is If You Seek Amy. Which sounds very similar to Trash Me by Jessie Malakouti. Personally I prefer Trash Me but there is something about the lyrics of If You Seek Amy that are special.

Say the title really fast. Done? Say it again. What does it sound like?

ifyouseekamy.

F U * K me. (Most of you should know what missing letter the * represents. If you don't, you are obviously underage or really oblivious.)

Sounds the same?

did you forget?

Have you ever read one of those choose your own path books?

I love them!!

Well, there are interactive books and games.

Now there are interactive Youtube videos!!

You watch the first video then at the end you click the way you want your story to go. And it'll link you to the next video to see what happens next.

Cool right?

about to fall. hard.

I was bored.

So in order to cure my boredom, I created a quiz.

A quiz about ME!!!

Cause I'm so important everyone should know me well. Haha. Just joking.

You can take the quiz if you're bored too.

I'll be happy to take a quiz about you too if you make one.

Drop a message on my tagbox if you decide to make a quiz.

P.S In the quiz, questions 1-5 are really basic ones bout me. 6-10 are quite easy too if you've talked to me. 11-20 are tough if you don't know me very well. But if you read my blog often, it should be a breeze.

dealing with the perfect crime.

*EDIT*

Wrong trailer. Sorry. That was the old one. New one's up now.

Official trailer of Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince.

It'll be released on the big screen with the Twilight movie. 21 November internationally. The date that HP was originally supposed to be released.

But now we have to wait another 7 months just because they want to make more money from the movie. Can't wait for it though.

Here it is.

But I am the Chosen One. Haha.

like catching lightning.

And on the second day there was REJOICING!!

No more BM and Sejarah!!

Oh oh oh!

There was a blackout halfway through the Sejarah paper. So at one point, my writing was a bit wobbly seeing as I couldn't see what I was writing.

The Sejarah paper was expected and unexpected at the same time. All spotted topics came out. But those that I thought would come out in essay came out in structure(PBB) and vice versa. Also, there were many questions that just wanted your opinion. I swear, the answer scheme this year must mainly consists of 'Mana-mana jawapan yang munasabah.'. Which is more moral and less sejarah like.

3 down. 8 more to go.

Got maths tomorrow. So free to go online a little while longer.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

i heart question mark.

So the first day is done.

Still don't feel like it's SPM. Feels just like another trial but easier.

In the blink of an eye everything will be over.

Baby if they asked me
I would say I don't even know ur name
And if they asked me
Does it change?
No, it don't change a thing
Cuz there's something about the way you'll love me
There's just something about the way you'll know me
That I cant explain enough
There's just something about our future love

baby just say yes.

Performance & Awards Night 2008.

For the first time in my secondary school life I got to sit down and watch the entire thing.

In the past years I'd perform so couldn't watch. And the one year I didn't perform(form 3), I was backstage with Min Yan helping out with the costumes.

So yeah, quite nice to be able to sit down and not worry about anything.

Prom the Musical. Performance of the night. It was very good. Despite being a complete rip off from HSM3(storyline wise) and practically every song being from Hairspray.
The cast did very well which is no surprise considering they're a talented bunch.

Wished I could have participated this year. The dances were SO nice!!! Like the contemporary dance during the song 'Tell Him' was so nice and I totally want to learn it. And the finale dance seemed so fun.

One year ago, I was at P&A collecting my PMR star award. So hopefully, one year later, I'll be able to attend P&A to collect my SPM star award?

Okay, must go study now so that I can get SPM star award next year!!

P.S Congrats to everyone who won something!!

Thursday, November 06, 2008

take me back to that time.

I'm so sick of sejarah right now.

Anyway,

Spent the past hour reading.

Reading my old blog posts. From my old blog. The xanga one.

I was such an angry kid back then. And my blogging style was horrible. Quite funny to read about things that happened in form 2.

Reading my friendster testimonials. All the way back to number one. [From SHIEN YIN. Who I haven't see a like a million years!!! So if you see this SAI, you'd better come down soon or I might go down to Singapore to see you.]

So many memories. Some that I still remember vividly. Some I remember and laugh at but cringe when people mention it.

Wednesday, November 05, 2008

it's all understood.

Less than a week.

Yet all I can think about is what's going to happen after SPM.

Prom.

Trips.

People leaving.

College.

Does time really pass so fast?

It doesn't seem so long ago that I was done with being in a Chinese school and moving forward into a private school. Everything was such a big change. Not only did I shift into my new house that year, it was also the year I made a whole new batch of friends.

And in just 2 months time, I'll be at college making another new group friends.

But that doesn't mean I'm going to forget all you Galileo/Mozart people!!!

So you had better not forget me. Even though some of you are going to the other end of the world to freeze in a place where winter gets to -40 or to a place where it always seems to be gloomy and raining or even to mini-Malaysia. You should know the places I'm talking about by the sound of it.

girls=m&m's.

I seriously feel like SPM is eons away. And I think everyone else is too.

Once Trial 2 was over, everyone ust had this great weight lifted off their shoulders. Looks like the weight is not coming back on anytime soon this week. But I bet by Monday a.k.a 'Night before SPM!!', I'll be panicking like crazy about all the things that I should but don't know.

And Taylor's has the subject combination I want. Yay!!!

Prom tickets are now on sale!! Please contact Trixie to book a ticket. From what I've heard, prom is happening and the planning is going well. The entertainment sounds fine so prom should be okay.

alpha beta gamma.

You know what is one question I'm VERY tired of hearing??

"So Weng Yee, got a boyfriend yet?"

I swear, I find that question very annoying.

It's like people think "Oh, Weng Yee's form 5 so it must mean that she either has or wants a boyfriend."

Even my parents constantly ask me something to that extent. And usually after I say that I do not have a boyfriend and no one is after me and I'm not after anyone, they go "Why not!?". Is it really so shocking to hear that I'm perfectly fine being single and not boy crazy? Shouldn't they be happy that I'm not going gaga over a boy?

Prom is also another thing. I think my parents find it strange that I'm going alone. Yes you read it right, I'm going to prom ALONE (if there even is a prom) and I'm perfectly fine with it.

And no, I'm not lesbian if that's what you were wondering (people have asked Weng Yan whether I am). I'm perfectly straight.

Okay, rant over. Back to studying. SPM!!! One week and one day left!!

Saturday, November 01, 2008

inside down low.

Twilight Update!!

Not really a trailer. More like new clips from the movie.

Shown at the Rome Film Festival.

Bella meeting the family. Lullaby. Still don't like the jumping from tree to tree thing.

Enjoy.

before the worst.

A couple of months ago, me and a bunch of friends organized the 30 Hour Famine.

It was an experience to say the least. I can honestly tell you that the night before, I was so worried that the camp would fail. Thank God it didn't though. Not as successful as I would have liked it to be but it was alright. Organizing it taught me a lot though.

Anyway, something came in the mail for me today from World Vision.

30 Hour Famine 2008 Project Report.
A CD. Video of the famine countdown and pictures from all the camps held in Malaysia.

All together, WV managed to raise RM1,122,563.08. Which is quite impressive considering when we went to hand in our donation cards, they only managed to raise RM300k.

This has totally got me thinking about organizing another camp next year.

Hmm......wonder whether Taylor's will allow?(Yes that's where I intend to go for my A-levels).

Seeing as they didn't do one this year. Which I thought they would considering they're such a big college and all.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

i'll get it back.

You know how people like to Google themselves just to see whether they appear?

Well, I tried it the other day and guess what?

I'm totally Googleble.

Not my full name. Just Google weng yee and my blog is the first to appear.

Here's a picture of the screen. First page first link.

It's quite small so click on the picture for a bigger view.

BLOG WORTHY NEWS!!

Haha. It's not really major news but for those of you who know Weng Yan. This should come as a shock.

Just today, she bought......

wait for this.

A DRESS!!!!

Shocking I know. Tube one somemore.

I'm hoping prom will be on. Just so that I can go dress shopping.

love at first sight.

Just a little story. Enjoy.

This is a true story of a young college girl who passed away last month, at Shah Alam. Her name is Priya; she was hit by a lorry.

I don't want to mention the name of the college. She had a boyfriend named Shankar. He lives in Johore. Both of them are true lovers. They are always on the phone with each other. You can never see her without her handphone.

She spends most of the day talking with Shankar. Priya's family knows about their relationship. Shankar is very close with Priya's family (just imagine their love). Before she passed away she always told her friends "If I pass away please burn me with my handphone". She also said the same thing to her parents.

After her death, people couldn't carry her coffin. I was there ~ a lot of them tried to do so but still couldn't, everybody including me, had tried to carry the coffin, the result was still the same.

Eventually, they called their neighbour, a "bomoh" from Thailand (pak Darin), who is a friend of her father's. He took a seat and started speaking to himself slowly. After a few minutes, he said "this girl misses something here". Then her friends told Darin bout her intentions to burn her with her phone. He then opened the coffin and place her phone, together with the SIM card inside the casket. After that they tried to carry the coffin. It could now be moved and they carried it into the van easily. All of us were shocked. (can you feel the fear? I'm shaking at this moment.)

Priya's parents didn't inform Shankar that Priya had passed away (pity Shankar). After 2 weeks Shankar called Priya's mom.

Shankar: "Atte, I'm coming home today. Please cook something nice for me. Don't tell Priya that I'm coming home today; I want to surprise her."

Her mother replied, "You come home first, I want to tell you something very important."

After he arrived at Shah Alam, they told him the truth about Priya.

Shankar thought that they were fooling around. He was laughing and said, "Don't try to fool me ... tell Priya to come out ... I have a gift for her. Please stop this nonsense."

Then they show him the Priya's death certificate; they gave him proof to make him believe.

Shankar started to sweat profusely. He said, "It's not true. We spoke yesterday. She still calls me."

Shankar was shaking so badly when suddenly, his phone rang.

"See this is from Priya. See this ...." he showed the phone to Priya's family. All of them told him to answer. He used the loudspeaker mode. All of them heard this conversation, loud and clear. No cross lines, no humming. It was Priya's voice! And there was no way others could use her SIM card as it was nailed inside the coffin! They were so shocked and asked for pak Darin's help.

Pak Darin brought his master (Tok Chen) to solve this matter. He and pak Darin worked for 5 hours ... then they discovered one thing .....

*DiGi. Best coverage ever, ONE LOW FLAT RATE~!!!!!!! Anyone, any network, anytime, ANYWHERE!!!*
Ok, now back to work ..... \(^*^)/

Funny right? Personally, I'm a Hotlink user. But I find Digi ads just so funny!!

save me.

Sometimes I wish I could just screw SPM over and fail every single subject.

All to spite YOU.

I hate hearing stories of how you were always the top student and that I should be thankful that you're not pushing me as hard as your parents pushed you.

Different people take things differently. While you may like playing the role of know-it-all in school I don't care for it. I'd rather enjoy myself than grow up to be a hypothetical selfish perosn like you who may be smart but suck at everything else in life.

I just wanna burn my books.

nobody believes me.

Just got back from dinner at this little Indian restaurant. The food there was good.

Usually the only place I eat Indian food is at Saffron, this restaurant at Sri Hartamas where there have this fluffy naan like thing called bhatura. So apparently my dad took his friend there for lunch one day and the friend said that he knew of another restaurant that had better food.

Went there to try it today. And the food is way BETTER than Saffron's. The restaurant is called Jassala and it's at Brickfields. You bascially have to park at KL Sentral and cross the road to get to the restaurant. I felt so fair there seeing as we were the only Chinese people in the place. Like everytime people walked into the restaurant, they would give us this look. The 'Why are there Chinese people here?' look.

Anyway, I'd totally recommend the restaurant if you like Indian food. I loved their mutton curry and this chicken kebab thing.
