safe and warm.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stephenie Meyer has stopped working on Midnight Sun(Twilight from Edward's POV).

Cause a draft of the first 12 chapters has been leaked online and Stephenie Meyer is very upset about it. Thus, she has decieded to stop writing the book.

For more details please visit her official website *here*.

She has allowed the 12 chapters to be posted up now so that the rest of her reader's may read it without feeling guilty.

Why people why???

I really wanted to read the entire book from Edward's POV but I guess it's not possible now just because of a bunch of impatient people who have no respect for the author's rights to keep the book under wraps until it's finished and edited.

wake up call.

Totally funny spoof on the Twilight trailer.

And I'm done with Breaking Dawn. Not as bad as the reviews said it would be but it was still a bit of a let down at the end.

And here's a link to a SUPER funny comic thing on Breaking Dawn from Edward's POV.

And if you're really bored and wanna pass time and a Twilight fan, here's a couple of videos about the 4 books in a nutshell. Funny stick figures.

Twilight

Eclipse

Breaking Dawn

never what it seems.

This is a true story that happened in Japan .

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan breaks open the wall.
Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls.
When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was! First built..

What happened?

The lizard has srvived in such position for 10 years!!!!!!!!!!
In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years! Without moving a single step--since its foot was

Nailed!

So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply.

For the lizard that was stuck by the nail; another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years...

Imagine? It has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.

On another note, Mr. Yow assigned lab partners today. If you've read Jia Lik's blog or are from 5 Mozart then you'll know about the funny 'events' that happened. I swear, when I head Mr. Yow say that Kok Wai's paired up with Jia, I couldn't stop laughing!!! The whole class laughed too. It was just way too funny. Waiting for us to go to the lab to see how those two communicate. They might just write down their conversation on paper cause they don't want to speak to each other. And poor Trixie has Chang Lin. Prepare for a fight or at least many arguments.

School is pretty mundane these days as only Physics, Bio and Sejarah hasn't finished syllabus. The rest we're just doing tons of revision. Can you imagine? Only a few more months to SPM and to the end of our secondary school life. Time has passed WAY too fast this year.

we must reach out.

Some famine pictures taken by Nat.

Our survival kits that seemed to have a million and one things in it(pillow, towel, toothbrush, mosquito patch, cap, mini torchlight, keychain etc.)

Not hungry people. Still happy.

Team H.U.F.T. Not even an hour into camp and they're already thinking about food.

Shelter built by Tribe JiaLik.

Campers watching some videos.

Most of our sponsors.

Nokia Siemens Network RM20k sponsorship mock cheque.

Still happy people a few hours into the famine.

Yu Kuan making a 'pancake' as part of the scavenger hunt.

They had to sort beans out too. In the evening where light was limited. *Cue evil laugh*

Whole row of people playing speed at night.

Sleeping time!! *It was freaking cold in the night*

After getting off the bus walking to the stadium.

Half of the crowd at Bukit Jalil. The other half was up in the shaded stands like us. Those people down there stayed there despite the scorching sun and later the pouring rain. Talk about being enthusiastic.

Sad hungry bored campers. Only a few more hours to go.

Break fast time. They're all stuffing themselves now.

Happy not hungry campers!!!

I'd definitely do it again next year if given the chance. It was an experience and I've learned a lot more organisational skills from it and it was nice to know that there are other people out there who care about people other than themselves.

Thanks to all those who attended, helped out or contributed money to us.
We managed to raise RM55,280.94.

Special thanks to the committee to getting the famine organised and running (Trixie, Nat, Melissa, PuiYi, Aleena and Andrew) and Aunty Vivienne for all her support and generous contribution.
Committee. L-R Trixie, Me, Nat(above), PuiYi, Aleena, Melissa and Andrew.

frame my soul.

I'm so tired out from the 30-Hour Famine.

Not because I was hungry or anything but all the making sure the program got a move on. While I must say the camp did not go as well as I planned it to be cause of the stupid rain seeing as it's monsoon season. But I think everything went quite okay considering we had such limited time to plan this and we're all so inexperienced.

I wanna do the scavenger hunt too. And the groups were pretty creative in their group names and building of shelter.

Group we had are as follows:

H.U.F.T ~ Help Us Feed Them (Wan Ru)
Fooderz (Greg)
Whoopsie daisy (Ben)
Balls (Nikki)
A.H.P.U ~ All Hungry People Unite (Faiz)
Femine ~ They had an all girl group (Mae Yeen)
Tribe Jia Lik (Jia Lik)obviously
Spartrix ~ Spartans and Matrix (Wui Yang)

I would say the group leaders did a pretty good job. And while more than a hundred people told us they were coming for camp, only 70+ people turned up. For the past week, people kept telling us that they couldn't come due to 'last minute' plans.

And as for the Famine Countdown. VERY dissapointing. No offence but there were just TOO many chinese speaking people there. It's like WV expects every single person to understand Mandarin. For their 1st 'English' emcee, she kept speaking in Mandarin so many people from our camp were 'sesat'. And their volounteers can't speak English or understand it either. I mean, I don't have anything against Chinese speaking people but is it too hard to at least speak and understand basic English??

Anyway, I'm going to sleep now even though it's only 10 cause I'm just exhausted. Waking up early though to finish some work.

a song about trains.

This like the first time I'm using my Mac out of the house.

In Starbucks!!!

Haha. Suppose to be having an early discussion about the famine but so far it's only 3 of us (Trixie, Nat & I). Everyone else hasn't arrived yet cause they're all busy sleeping in.

Famine planning is coming along. Basically only a few minor details left to sort out. Can you imagine that half our holidays are gone? And it's only 1 day more to the famine.

*Everyone who's using a computer here uses a Mac. Haha.

son of the damned.

So for the famine, our total amount of donations raised is

RM53,280.94

Of course, RM20,000 is from the Nokia sponsorship but it means that we ourselves raise RM33,280.94 which is quite impressive.

Only 3 more days. So much to do.

And my holidays are non-existant. The crash course is eating up all my free time. But at least I don't have to study when I get back seeing as I've 'done' 6 hours worth of revision already.

mistakes are meant to be made.

Initially for A-levels, my choice of subjects were Maths, Econs, Acc and hopefully Eng Lit or Law if they didn't have that combination.

But my dad just went for the Taylor's Hartamas Campus Preview day and apparently some subjects in A-levels are not preferred. I thought maybe it was just an unofficial thing but it's true. Top universities in the UK have 'blacklisted' some subjects whereby a student shouldn't take more than 1 'soft' A-level subject. And guess what? Acc and Law are in it. Law only blacklisted for LSE. But seeing as I wanna get into LSE, I shouldn't take that subject. Looks like my new combination may be Maths, Econs, Eng Lit and Psychology or Sociology.

So for all those going to take A-levels, please click here and here for list of 'blacklisted' subjects and articles on the blacklisting of the subjects.

qing tian.

Yesterday had Patriotic Run and Merdeka Carnival. Blue got first for it and also Super Champion House.

Merdeka Carnival wasn't really happening as many people spent their time in the sports complex waiting for their match to start. The whole highlight of the day was the 'Funtasia' show at 6. All classes excluding Form 3 & 5 were suppose to put up this 'Impersonation' skit where they impersonate a scene from a movie or show. All of them had already had their prelims on Wednesday so we only got to watch the finalists. Some were good, some were not so good. The Adams family one was quite good as they had managed to impersonate all the charcters pretty well. I like Pink Panther cause the main actor did a REALLY good impersonation of Steve Martin in the movie. The accent was hilarious!!!!

And of course the whole reason some of us went for the show was for the teacher's performance. They put up a short skit titled 'snoring beauty' and also a couple of dances. The skit was very funny. The teachers in our school are pretty good at all these performance things. Mr. Yow was a very good 'fairy godfather' alongside Mr. Hafiz and Mr. Lam. As for the dances, let's just say we'll never look at some of our teachers the same again. Mr. Naresh?(the P.E. teacher) was totally the most enthusiastic dancer and he wasn't half bad. And Mr. Sara looked like he was really enjoying himself.

Went for the crash course today. 2 hours of Physics, Chem and Bio for 5 days. Very beneficial. This totally helps me revise as I'm quite sure if I was left at home I wouldn't touch my books. Very few people went for it though. I guess a lot of people don't want it to eat into their holidays or think it's too expensive. Despite having to pay RM200 per subject I really think it's worth the money.

On another note, my mum and sisters have gone to Ipoh for a wedding. And not just any wedding, it's my GRANDFATHER'S wedding. My grandfather is freaking 78 years old and he's re-marrying. The woman is 65 years old. *deleted due to sensitive material*

As for the 30-Hour Famine,

Me and Trixie managed to put everyone into their groups today. Money is all settled. Donation cards all back except for Ru Dee's card (she's freaking in Australia!!!!). Going on Monday to get everything from WV and give them the cash. In total, we've raised a little over

RM33,000
(not sure about the exact amount as can't seem to find the piece of paper I wrote it on)

Quite pleased. Sleeping over at Trixie's so that we can sort out the activities and whatever else that need's discussing.

Looks like it's going to be a packed holiday for me with the crash course to attend and the famine to plan.

Please pray that everything goes well for the famine.

just a little bit.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!

Okay, not officially. But I only have EST 1 tomorrow so it's not a big deal.

And you know, the number of people who got picked for National Service(NS) is by far the largest I've ever heard of in our school. In my class alone, 14 people got picked. That's more than half cause 2 people in my class are underage so there were 25 people who could have got picked.

So far, I know about 20+ people who've gotten picked for NS. But according the Janice, the name list that's out is for all the batches. Not only first batch.

You know, I wouldn't really mind going for NS cause it sounds like quite an interesting experience. But it'll totally interrupt my study plans and my thinks I'm going to die if I go there(not surprising considering all the horror stories that are reported). She said that if I got chosen, she'lll ship me off overseas immediatly after SPM.

And if you find yourself having lots of time on your hands and have nothing to do. You should watch 'Xia Xue's Guide to Life', 'Chick vs. Dick' and 'Crack Comedy'. It's SUPER funny. Just go to youtube and search. Xiaxue(Singapore celebrity blogger) is way funny. The things she says is quite stupid at times and her opinion is very different. Chick vs. Dick is where Paul and Kaykay(all XX's friends) have a sort of battle of the sexes. They are very amusing to watch. Crack comedy is quite funny too.

Latest 'Crack Comedy'. I think the guy is very gay.

Tuesday, August 12, 2008

I can hear heaven.

Woohoo!!!!!!

Gues what??

I DIDN'T get picked for NS.

I swear, I've never been happier to see the words 'Harap Maaf' in my life. Thank you God.

For those who wanna check, SMS

NS(space)ICNo. to 33995

to double check, SMS

PLKN(space)SEMAK(space)IC NO. to 15888

Another thing, we've reached our goal for 30-Hour Famine. RM30k people!! With 10 more cards to collect and the committee's cards.

One more day to go. Biology. So much memory work.....

Monday, August 11, 2008

and now I wonder.

SPM 2008 timetable is out already!!!

My subjects are quite spread out over 3 weeks. Last paper is EST on November 27.

AND!!!!

NS namelist is out. Not the official one apparently. And I can't get into the website cause I'm sure the rest of Malaysia is trying to get into the same website. Please please please please please don't let my name be on it.

The official list be out on Thursday in the papers.
So Form 5's, you'd better hope you don't get picked.

30 Hour Famine. We're only RM700 short of our goal which is RM30k. And we still have 15 cards left to collect. Everything seems to be going well so far. But once trials are over it's full focus on famine planning.

*Those attending the famine please stay back on wednesday till 4.30p.m. for a briefing. Important documents will be given out so if you can't make it please inform any one of the committee members(Puiyi, Melissa, Trixie, Nat & I).

if all else were to perish.

Haha. Let me tell you something funny that happened to day. My brother right, only comes back from school around 6.40 cause he's in the afternoon session. Supposedly my mum usually sends me to ballet and siblings for music. But today, we had to do a detour back to my brother's school.

Reason why?

Around 7.00 my sister(Weng Mun) was like "Yan Hin!! Where's your bag?". So obviously you can guess what my brother did. He came home with the wrong school bag. Hahahahahahahaha. Damn funny I tell you. And the thing is, my mum didn't even realize EVENTHOUGH she carried the bag into the car for him. So we went back to the school to get my brother's bag and got the boy whose bag was taken by my brother left the dad's number for us to call. So in the end my mum got their address and managed to drop the bag off. I swear, my brother is one of the blurest people in the world.

Got to ballet quite late cause of that and the HORRIBLE jam(no idea why there even was a jam to begin with). Despite being like 15 minutes late, class had not started cause no one was there. Apparently everyone else was in the jam too. So in the end class today only had 4 people. Which is relatively small considering the usual class has 10 people.

Ooooh, and here's a video to watch. Parody of Miley Cyrus's 7 things I hate about you. It's quite funny.

7 things guys don't have to do.

08.08.08

The first week of trials are over but this week was the easier week.

I'm totally not prepared to sit for my Add. Maths, Chem, Bio and Moral paper.

As for the 30 Hour Famine, we still have 31 cards to collect. A majority of it being teachers or the form 5's.

We have however, raised a little over RM25k so far which is quite good.

I was at Kayu yesterday with my mum and sisters and I made this observation. You see, we always sit at the same table which is near the payment counter and also the sink. And I realized that almost all the guys who wash their hands, spend like an entire minute looking at themselves in the mirror and doing their hair. The girls on the other hand, just wash their hands and walk away.

And you said girls were vain.

I guess it's just the modern times where guys care more about how they look than girls do. I mean, there's nothing wrong with wanting to look good but I swear guys these days take longer than girls to get ready.
