skyline.

And so I'm done with the first week of uni.

For those of you who don't know, I'm currently doing the B.A Econ course at KDU college under University of Manchester. It's basically a twinning program so I'll be off to UK next year.

So far classes have been pretty basic. Just the introductions and stuff. I don't expect it to get any more interesting though, except for my politics module. Which I know nothing about so it'll be something totally new.

Did I mention how small my class is? There are only four of us now. All girls. They're pretty nice but I was seriously hoping for a bigger class. I mean, I thought that my lit class at TCSH was small enough, now this class is half the size??

Oh well. Will just have to see how everything goes.

gold.

Would you rather step into a place that is so familiar you know it like the back of your hand?

Or perhaps into a foreign place where you know not what to expect?

While some people cling to what's familiar, others are always seeking a new adventure elsewhere.

As for me? I'm torn between both. There are times where all I want to do is keep to what I know. That I'm prepared for pretty much everything that comes my way seeing as nothing can surprise me. Yet there are times when I wanna do things that I wouldn't have thought of doing before just to experience something new.

Most of the time, I compensate. Like when I wanted to cut my hair short. I was actually thinking of it really short as in pixie cut. But when the time came, I just had it cut to chin length.

Sigh. I feel like there are two people living inside me. Though not in an MPD way.

The reality of Pokemon =P.

I mean, honestly, how can all the pokemon be made to fight so much and yet the world remain such a fine and dandy place. Except for the 'evil' Team Rocket.

city.

I'm gonna make an assumption here

that most people who get into relationships before they're 20 are just looking for a 'Right Now' not a 'For The Rest Of My Life'. (Feel free to comment if you think otherwise)

Given my assumption,

I really don't understand why people want relationships?

It's like you know that at one point, you are going to break up and there's going to be heartbreak and lots of tears. Maybe some yelling and throwing of stuff. (If it ended on a bad note)

So does that mean relationships are always good enough to compensate for the bad at the end? I think not. Yet, people are so willing to jump into one. Not to mention the fact that it's not always smooth sailing DURING the relationship. I would say that bad stuff during relationship + breakup > good part of relationship.

Haha. My objective view on it. Perhaps when I'm actually in a relationship I'll be able to understand why people do stupid things and make stupid decisions all for the sake of love.

But then again, you only get the rainbow after the rain.

finale.

Hopefully one day,

I will be able to do half of this.

If you're lazy to watch, it's basically this couple in a salsa club. They are sooooooooooo good. Can you imagine? You go to a club and everyone there can dance. With no set routine, anything goes. =D Sounds funs no?

sonata.

I can honestly tell you that growing up I didn't question many things. I just went with the flow and took what life gave me.

But now, I can't help but question some things.

Like what people perceive education to be.

Education:

the knowledge and development resulting from an educational process [Merriam-Webster's dictionary]
the process of teaching or learning in school or college; or the knowledge you get from this [Cambridge dictionary]

Does anything in there even suggest that the meaning of education is

something you need to make more money so that you can have more power in this world?
or
a tool to make you feel that you are a class above those who don't have the same education as you?

In fact, the word education comes from the Latin term 'educere' which means to bring out. Basically to bring forth the potential that a person has within. Not to force knowledge onto people.

Yet the true meaning of education has been lost over the years. Now, it's just a numbers game. How many A's can you get, how much money can you earn after this.
