left for you and me.

This morning while I was having breakfast, my grandparents were discussing their medicine. And let me tell you, it was one of the weirdest conversations ever. They were like comparing which medicine was better, whether it's cheaper to get it from a doctor or from the pharmacy.

So this got me thinking, that at some points of our lives, the topics that we talk about change with age. While you may thinking OBVIOUSLY, what a 6 year old and a 16 year old talk about are completely different. What I mean is that there is this invisible line in our head that seperates what we think about at different stages.

For example:

0-7 years: Make lots of noise that make absolutely no sense to anyone. Yell about how interesting the most mundane things are. Basically act like you've lived a rock under your entire life and be fascinated by anything.

7-12 years: Talk about school. And how you hate this or that teacher. Discuss how much you hate this boy/girl who always teases you. Oh, also talk about childish games and computer games.

13-14 years: Eveything that you say must be filled with angst. The world hates you, you hate the world blah blah blah.

15-18 years: Talk about the guy/girl you like. Swoon over hot celebrities you wished you knew. Discuss how unfair you parents are as they never let you out/never let you drink/never let you do anything. Basically a toned down version of how you were from 13-14.

19-25 years: Uni life. Enjoy freedom from parents by talking with friends about where to party and what next to spend money one like holidays and unnecessary gadgets.

26-30 years: Complain about how you'll never find someone to marry. When finally married gush about how married is everything you dreamed.

31-40 years: Talk about how to take care of kids. Compare salary/house/car.

41-49 years: Tell people about how your spouse annoys the hell out of you. How your kids are driving you up the wall. Discuss politics and economics.

49-55 years: Talk about how your job is so stressful and you can't wait for retirement. Discuss how much your kid's uni is costing with other friends.

56-60 years: From now on it's all about how well your kids are doing. Brag about your kids and their wonderful career.

61-80 years: Like my grandparents, discuss health care. Latest pills, vitamins and whatever else there is to discuss about how to live longer.

81 years onwards: The past and nothing but the past.

Just my opinion. Feel free to leave you opinions on the tagbox.
