Yinthong, Yuenwen, Janice and Me.

A bunch of the 6M people. With 2 of my ex homeroom teachers.

Sometimes I really do miss my primary school days.

Went to Ji Lynn's party on Sunday. It was okay la. But so few KDU-ians seeing as class tests are this week. All her ex-school friends are so weird.

I'm sure anyone who hasn't been living under a rock knows that 'Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix' was released nationwide on 10th July 2007. And like everyone else, I was excited to watch it. Was going to watch it yesterday after my piano exam, BUT tickets were sold out till Sunday for Gold Class. But in the end my mum managed to get 2 tickets for today's 3p.m. movie.

Me and my sis went to Chili's for lunch then went straight to the cinema as didn't want to be late seeing as this is an important movie. =P. Saw Joey, Yue Ping and other people whose names I do not know. Eventually found out they were going to Gold class too. As people started entering the cinema hall, realized that KDU-ians took up more than half of the Gold Class.

There was Joey's gang, Victor's gang, Chloe and Kian Yuan(sp?), Lauren and someone else I couldn't see and Matthew Pang. Just goes to show what a bunch of spoiled kids KDU-ians are if more than half the cinema was us. Haha. Did you know the SeGi college has an advertisement in the cinema? It's the first time I've ever seen a college advertise themselves like that.

Now to the movie. In my opinion it was one of the better Harry Potter movies. They may have left out many aspects of the book and changed a couple of parts. But they did manage to make the movie in a smooth way that even if you didn't read the book it wouldn't have seem incomplete. Effects were nice. Maybe I didn't really have expectations seeing as the fourth movie was such a disappointment, but it was better than the other movies.

The unfortunate thing was that Draco Malfoy only appeared a little bit in the movie. Boohoo. Luna Lovegood was good though. And the Thestrals are cool.

Sorry for the lack of updates. But as I said before, my sis is a camera hogger.

As you all should have read by now, we, the form 4's went on a field trip to Bukit Cahaya agricultural park, Shah Alam. It was in my opinion, a waste of time. All we did was walk, we did not learn anything except that pizza hut as the lousiest service in the world.

This is the weirdest tree I have ever seen. It was a hybrid of durian, mangosteen, grape etc trees. Trixie and Nat thought they just stuck the fruits there.

That's part of the very pretty garden. It was the 4 seasons garden. Which just so happened to be SUMMER when we visited it. Was much cooler than outside though.

Look at the number of KDU-ians.

Noisy bird. Screeched like a banshee.

Cute monkey. It peed on Mel C though. It's eating an orange.

Porcupines!!

On saturday was Sri KDU's annual swimming gala. There seemed to be more swimmers than anything else. Blue got 1st, Red 2nd, Yellow 3rd and Green 4th. I went as I had to take part in the 50m relay as red house didn't have enough swimmers. Actually got 2nd but the *school swimmer* Genna forgot the rules and got us disqualified. No biggie though. Haha.

Then on sunday went to Tony Roma's as Shan is back!!! Saw Chiang Lin and family, Riza and family and Ms Hoo. It was her b'day so we sent over dessert and a balloon. =D Got into Sanctuary and drank. Word of advice, do not order a Black Russian if you're not a regular drinker. As it's pure alcohol. Vodka and Kahlua. Played pool and foosball after that. I'm bad at pool. Went back to Melissa's place after that. The night continued on with much laughter and funny situations.

Slept at 4. Woke at 7.30. Went home at 10.30. The rest went to 1U to watch Transformers. Didn't go as had to come home and do 'work'. Ended up catching up on sleep instead.

The easiest and the hardest.

This is why my grandmother once told me that the English language is both the easiest and the hardest to master

  • We’ll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes;
  • But the plural of ox became oxen, not oxes.
  • One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,
  • Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.
  • You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice;
  • Yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.
  • If the plural of man is always called men,
  • Why shouldn’t the plural of pan be called pen?
  • If I spoke of my foot and show you my feet,
  • And I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
  • If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
  • Why shouldn’t the plural of booth be called beeth?
  • Then one may be that, and three would be those,
  • Yet hat in the plural would never be hose,
  • And the plural of cat is cats, not cose.
  • We speak of a brother and also of breathren,
  • But though we say mother we never say methren.
  • Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
  • But imagine the feminine, she, shis and shim.

There is no egg in eggplant nor ham in hamburger; neither apple nor pine in pineapple. English muffins weren’t invented in England; quicksand can work slowly; boxing rings are square; and a guinea pig is neither from Guinea nor a pig.

And why is it that writers write but fingers don’t fing, grocers don’t groce and hammers don’t ham? Doesn’t it seem crazy that you can make amends but not one amend? If teachers taught, why didn’t preachers praught?

In what language do people recite at a play and play at a recital?

Ship by truck and send cargo by ship? Have noses that run and feet that smell? How can a slim chance and a fat chance be the same, while a wise man and a wiseguy are opposites?

You have to marvel at the unique lunacy of a language in which your house can burn up as it burns down, in which you fill in a form by filling it out, and in which an alarm goes off by going on. If Papa is Pop, how come Mama isn’t Mop?

If you have a bunch of odds and ends and get rid of all but one of them, what do you call it? If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?

Of cheerleading, ballet and Australia

Sorry for not updating for such a long time but everytime I wanted to upload pics, my sister hogs the camera. So for the weekend, there was ballet rehearsals, the concert itself, crashing alia's party, cheer 07' and finally Adranne's 2 farewell parties.

Our finale dance. All in all did 3 dances. 1 was about bullying, the 2nd was the white witch from Narnia and above is our finale. I need a hero. Yes, the one from Shrek. If you want to know, this year's concert theme was 'World of Villains' so at the end we showed how we need a hero to make the right decision.

The Grade 7's and 8's. The 'pirate' in the middle is Captain Hook. Aka my ballet teacher. Ms Leong. Funny looking no?

After the concert, we, as in Melissa, Aleena, Trixie, Pui Yi and me walked to Bukit Kiara. Why you ask? For Alia's party. Me and Trixie we gate crashing. And NOONE told me we were going so I went looking like an idiot as still had make up on and my ballet bun. It was interesting. This is because not once has anyone had an actual disco-ish party. Slept over at Melissa's.

Me and Trixie woke up at 5.30 to follow Emily to school as we were following the very 'full' bus to cheer. Melissa went later as she had already went on Sat. And Aleena went somewhere else.

The stadium in the morning. Quite empty. Stunners and Strikers were last so not many KDU-ians yeat. The CBN, BU4 and DJ supporters took up a whole section. Maybe around 400 people?

Stadium later. Very full. As you all may have seen in the newspapers, Dynamitez won. Shirtliff 2nd. Vulcanz All Boys, All Girls 3rd and 4th respectively. Stunners didn't get top 5 but Strikers won bet dress. Stunners got 12 and Strikers 13.

Rushed home after that and took a shower as had to go to Adranne's 'surprise' party. She's leaving tonight for Australia...But when me and my sis got there, found out that Jasmine accidentally let it slip that there was going to be a party. It was okay la. Adranne's was like a water tap. And none of the ballet girls came, but at least Lucas was there. He's seriously entertaining I tell you. His family and Adranne's family along with 2 other families went to Korea last year together so they are pretty close.
Me, Adranne and Weng Yan.

As none of the other ballet girls went for the farewell thing on Sunday, all of us met up at Souled Out Tuesday night. Ate, talked, gossiped, looked at concert pictures till 10. Then everyone went home as it's a school night. Gonna miss Adranne!! Why does everyone leave for Australia? First it was Vicky from ballet, Li Ying and Hooi Shan from school and now Adranne. Is Malaysia that bad? Oh wel...we're all bound to leave sooner or later.
From the left: Farah, Sarah, Yen Ping, Tiffany, Jasmine, Me, Adranne, Sher Wen, Ms. Leong, Chrislynn and finally Stephanie(If she looks familiar it's because you saw her on th front page of the Star on Monday-Dynamitez).

London!!!

London was really nice. Not very cold, not very hot. Didn't rain as I expected. Just a little drizzle at times. Lazy to blog all about it but will upload pics now.

That's Westminster abbey. Really nice but not worth the 10 pounds to go in and see tons and tons of tombs. (Sorry it's the wrong way, I dunno how to rotate it.)

The Marble Arch. Nothing great about it but lots of people go to see it.

The 'Crooked House of Windsor'. They built it this way, not that it became that way.

Stonehenge. A bunch of rocks in the middle of nowhere.
Ascending angels. Didn't get the descending one.
That cauldron was once filled 4 times with alcohol for a party. One hell of a party!!! It's about 30 galleons.
Roman Baths. Go to Bath people. Really nice place.
Shakespeare's Birthplace. Hope some of that talent will rub off on me.
Really AWESOME cookies. From Covent Garden.
Greenwich park. Pretty no?
Can't you just picture Hogwart's students here?
'Dr. Watson', my aunt and my mum. 221b Baker Street.
Really funny stuff inside. Ex. An artist's tinned faeces.

Sunrise on the plane.
Super funny!!! Adult themed though. Must watch!!
Les Miserable. Quite nice. Spaced out in the middle though.

Those were the highlights of my trip. Hoping to study there.
