pieces.

So another year comes to an end.

2010 has marked the beginning and end of many things in my life. Can't say whether it was all good or all bad.

I just know that I have no regrets.

May 2011 be as eventful as 2010 has been.

haruharu.

Dear Imagination,

I know I haven't really been spending time with you since the days in the playground where we played masak-masak together and you convinced me that leaves and twigs and sand could somehow look like fried rice with vegetables.

I'm sorry that over the years of growing up my attention has been hogged by Reality who is both bossy and demanding and seriously a pain in the ass. With you having to take a back seat in my life, you must have a lot of pent up energy since the only time I ever ask you out to play is when Fantasy is tired of copying off the movies or books I read.

But now that Reality has taken a chill pill and I've laid off reading too many books or watching too many movies, I can spend more time with you. The only thing I ask of you Imagination, is to STOP running wild! I'm too old to be chasing after you or having you running around while I'm trying to sleep.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Mentally exhausted Weng Yee.

Haha. Random much? =P

Black Swan starring Natalie Portman.

This movie combined the two things I love watching.

Dance? Check.

Psychological twists? Check.

Definitely recommend watching it.

Though after watching it, you'd wonder how much is perfection worth?

namja.

Another year has passed.

And now I can officially say I'm 19. Not that I told people I was 18, just that I would always say I'm 19 this year instead of just 19.

Honestly I never really have expectations for my birthday. I don't expect presents or parties. So it's nice when it does happen =).

Not gonna blog about it in detail cause I'm lazy like that. But I can truly say that my 19th birthday was never what I would have thought it would be.

Can't believe I'm gonna be 20 next year. While aging one year doesn't make that much of a difference, it's the jump away from being a teenager that kinda freaks me out. One day you're a carefree teenager and the next you're suddenly an adult who has to think about responsibilities =S.

Stop time right here anyone?

octopus.

I just watched like the CUTEST movie ever!!

Title of the movie is "Paper Heart". Filmed in a documentary style, it' s about this girl who is making a documentary about love. Why is she doing so? Because she wants to know more about it since she doesn't believe in love.

I liked that a lot of the 'couples' that she 'interviewed' were quite old already. So it felt like they actually knew what they were talking about based on experience. The couple that got married when they were 17 was so adorable =D.

Oh! Did I mention Michael Cera plays one of the main characters. Granted his roles in movies are pretty much the same all the time, I like him =). Always playing the shy awkward guy (Juno, Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist and now Paperheart).

He just looks so perfect for that role no?

rainbow.

The top 10 things I learnt from attending Zoukout 2010.

1. Don't bother dressing up so much. By that I mean going in a tank top and shorts without minimal makeup is a-okay. Cause by the end of the night or in this case morning, you will be sweaty and sticky as hell so dressing up is a waste.

2. Redbull is the best drink for long nights. Seriously. Surviving the whole night dancing with only 4 hours of sleep would not have been possible without the two cans of redbull.

3. My feet are pretty strong. Can't believe I lasted the night on my feet while having it stepped on like a million times. I'm surprised my foot isn't covered in bruises =S.

4. Some people are overly persistent. If there was space in front of me, I would have gone in front too. So there is no use trying to force your way in front of me!

5. Should have brought an extra top. All the sweat and rain and spilled drinks(from other people) do not make a good combination =S.

6. If a person has a dazed sort of look. They're either going to A: Puke or B: Pass out. So keep away.

7. The world is super small. Even with 30k people, you can still randomly bump into people you know without any planning.

8. I am still not a huge fan of house music. With one exception.

9. DAVID GEUTTA IS AWESOME! I don't know whether any other DJ would have been able to pump to crowd up so much at 5 in the morning when most have been partying since 8.

10. Thank goodness Singapore has such an efficient public transport system to get 30 thousand people off Sentosa at the same time.

That pretty much wraps up my weekend in Singapore. Didn't do anything else besides eat and sleep(barely though) and go to Zoukout.

Not sure whether I'd be up for another Zoukout. The crowd is just too crazy.

Recipe for a perfect Saturday night:

1. Extract dad and sibling from house. (Send to Singapore)
2. Allow mum to go off. (To Seremban)
3. Stir in a long hot bath.
4. If desired, blast favourite music.
5. Slowly savour a good book. (In my case HP7)
6. When the time is right(tummy growling is a good sign), add in a cup of hot tea with favourite snacks =D.
7. Sit back and enjoy this moment of bliss.

Yes. That's my idea of a perfect Saturday night.

May sound super anti-social but seriously, moments of peace and quiet are hard to come by.
