I Was Able To Eat Well.
Chang Min from 2AM and Lee Hyun from 8eight.

vinyl.

Wow. I haven't blogged for more than a week. Seems like forever to me...

Haha. I spent four days working as a promoter in Mid Valley.

And this is what I've learnt.

1. How to sell cooking ware and wallcoverings.
2. How to wear a hanbok (Korean traditional costume) properly. Even how to tie the otkorum.
3. There are actually a lot of people who are willing to spend a lot of money to make their wall look pretty.
4. Standing for 12 hours kills your feet.
5. You can get stuck in a jam for half an hour. In the CAR PARK.
6. How to use the credit card machine. I'm quite good at it now =D.

Overall I'd say it was a good experience. And I just might do it again, cause the money's good =P.

baroque.

You know what really got me into the Korean wave?

No it's not the Kpop songs.

And no it's not the Korean dramas either. Actually I've only watched one Korean drama. Boys Over Flowers.

It was their variety shows =D.

Variety shows are practically a mandatory thing for Korean stars to do if they wanna be more well known. Doesn't matter whether they're an actor, actress, solo singer, band, girl or boy group, they will at one point or another appear on a variety show to boost their popularity.

Although a lot of what is said on variety shows may have been scripted, I don't think the guests fake their personalities much. So by watching variety shows, we(the fans) get to see a little more of the real person behind the character or stage persona. Then you realise that though they may be famous, they aren't much different from us normal un-famous people. They too get angry, jealous at each other. The One Day boys(2PM and 2Am) even admitted that they got together to cry cause they were so stressed out by JYP before they debuted. Awwwwww.

My ultimate favourite show??

We Got Married =D.

You must must must must watch the Ssangchu couple. Kim Hyun Joong and Hwang Bo. They are the funniest and cutest 'couple'.

That's what made me a huge fan of Kim Hyun Joong. Not his Ji Hoo character from BOF but his sort of real self from WGM.

soda shop.

Slightly random post.

goodbye, prince charming
and drown sleeping beauty
shove Cinderella’s slipper where the sun don’t shine
toss the little mermaid back out to sea
cuz the fairy godmother had to perform another abortion today
and the seven dwarves live in the forest, of course, cuz they were driven away
but this part of the story could spark a cultural rage
so at the sound of the tone we just turn the page

Ever After Happily by Jay Brannan

Haha. From MyLifeIsTwilight. Yes there actually is such a website.
And if you laughed at the Harry Potter reference, *high five* =D.

How can my kpop love die when there are constantly new things for me to watch? Jung Yong Hwa (C.N.Blue) and SeoHyun (SNSD) are pairing up for WGM. Can't wait to see this couple play out. Yong Hwa looks like the nice guy while SeoHyun has said that she isn't interested in guys. Not in the lesbian way but rather the guys are not worth the time and effort way. Haha.

Gah. This is the result of no internet for 3 days. Information overload.

shrek.

I think Koreans come up with the most entertaining reality shows. Okay, maybe it only for die hard romantics.

One that I've watched is "We Got Married". Basically two celebrities are paired up as a 'married couple' for the duration of the show. Watched the Ssangchu couple (Kim Hyun Joong & Hwang Bo) and a bit of Anbi (Andy & Solbi) couple. It's just so funny!!! Yet super duper sweet and to some cheesy at times. But I love it. It's like watching a drama but more real. Even though I'm pretty sure parts of the show are scripted, everything seems natural.

I even read somewhere that the Anbi couple pulled out quite early on cause it was getting to real for them. As in they were actually falling in love with each other. Awwww.

Another one is Mnet scandal. In this show, a celebrity guy will date a non-celebrity girl for a week. So far I've watched Nichkhun, Lee Hong Ki and Choi Jong Hon.

After watching those three, I do think that for some reason guys like to date older women. Nichkhun's first girlfriend was 7? years older than him. Lee Hong Ki only dates older women with the largest gap being 7 years. Choi Jong Hon like older women better. A bit strange no?

box

I feel like my mind needs something to focus on whenever I'm not doing anything.

If it's not a type of book, it's a type of movie. If it's not that it's a song.

But now it seems like my mind is stuck in Korea. No matter what I do I can't snap out of it. For the first time ever I can't wait to start doing lit analysis. Then at least I'd only have to think about Chaucer and his Nun's Priest.

And not Kim Hyun Joong or Jang Geun Suk or Lee Hong Ki or Jung Yung Hwa or Kim Bum.

puppy.

I'm halfway through another Korean drama, and I must say,

what is it with making one good guy like a girl who will never like him back???

Like seriously,

the drama I'm watching now is called "You're Beautiful"

and just like the Ji Hoo in BOF, Shin Woo is constantly comforting and encouraging the main girl character cause he loves her. But she doesn't love him cause she likes the obnoxious leader of the band.

It's just so sad =(.

5seconds.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most girls looking for their knight?

Whether it's the white knight who is always there for you. Ready to throw everything away just to make you happy. Always there with the handkerchief to dry your tears.

or

The dark knight. Who makes your blood boil cause at times he gets on your nerves. But despite his cold nature, he is different around you and you know that he does love you.

Maybe it's possible to find just one. But let's say you have both in your life.

Yes, both a white knight and a dark knight.

If push comes to shove,

who would you pick?

Haha. Yes people, this is all triggered by Boys Over Flowers. For those who've watched it, besides the whole white and dark thing, what about the true love and soul mate issue? What would your choice be.

Perhaps the solution is to find the grey knight =P.
