And so I'm done with the first week of uni.

For those of you who don't know, I'm currently doing the B.A Econ course at KDU college under University of Manchester. It's basically a twinning program so I'll be off to UK next year.

So far classes have been pretty basic. Just the introductions and stuff. I don't expect it to get any more interesting though, except for my politics module. Which I know nothing about so it'll be something totally new.

Did I mention how small my class is? There are only four of us now. All girls. They're pretty nice but I was seriously hoping for a bigger class. I mean, I thought that my lit class at TCSH was small enough, now this class is half the size??

Oh well. Will just have to see how everything goes.

Cause just recently, the common room of Magdalen College Junior has been renamed Gryffindor common room.

Yes you read that right. Exactly like Harry Potter.

Three other colleges, Christ Church, St. Hughs and Merton are now petitioning to rename their common rooms too. To what else but Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.

Interesting no?

I can just imagine all the HP fans wanting to apply there now.

I'm sure we all have the dream of entering Oxford or Cambridge. I mean, it would be so awesome to tell people that you're from Cambridge or Oxford right?

And yet you always hear of those brilliant all rounded students who don't get it. 

So what is really needed to get in?

Well apparently it's being able to answer the interview questions. Mind you, they aren't always the conventional type of questions.

Some examples below. I would totally freak if I got asked those questions.

Here is a piece of bark, please talk about it. (Biological sciences, Oxford.)

Are you cool? (Philosophy, politics and economics, Oxford.)

At what point is a person "dead"? (Medicine, Cambridge.)

Put a monetary value on this teapot. (Philosophy, politics and economics, Oxford.)
